NOTE: There is no such thing as a "ModGET". The 4chan moderators have always regarded /b/ as a shithole and there is no reason they would bother attempting to steal one of /b/'s precious "GETs". There have been some special events that occur around GETs, though:

At one point, GETs were automatically stickied. Later on in 4chan's history, moot disabled this feature.
The traffic that GETs generate have often made 4chan's MySQL server explode. Sometimes this necessitated a manual reset.
