I am a fairly simple and easily satisfied person.

At some point in 2006 I had an impulse to start explaining everything I know, starting with the stuff I would like to write about, and moving on eventually to the stuff nobody cares about, until in the end my entire mind had been exported from the unstable and inefficient mechanism of my brain to the printed page. I realize this takes on the form of a sort of artistic decompression: obviously, your memories and the concepts you know about are not contained within your head in easy-to-understand essay form. By explaining them you are forced to articulate yourself, recognize your own hypocrisy and flaws in your logic, sometimes lose the truth of something while trying to form it into a coherent sentence, and generally waste a lot of time on the Internet. I'm okay with that for now.

[edit] Purpose in life

I believe that all beings are Buddhas and my life's goal is to subvert our laziness.

[edit] Anonymity

You will find that my actual identity, address, what I look like, etc. are quite segregated from my pseudonym "Shii". This is a problem which engenders distrust and I will resolve it some day. I don't really care about that right now. I mean, I am just some random guy on the Internet either way. If you think you know who I am in real life shoot me an e-mail.

[edit] Biography

If I am writing the stuff I know eventually I will have a 200-page biography on this website. I'm not up for that right now.

I was born in Wellesley, Massachusetts in 1987. I am currently attending Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.
